After reading this post, you will have a better idea of where you should host a baby shower. And get the mommy and daddy-to-be excited about their new addition.
1. Restaurant
If you want to find baby shower venues with great food, then check out the parent’s favorite restaurant. Most restaurants have a space dedicated to parties and special occasions. Just call them up and see if they have availability. This is a great option if you want to plan a small baby shower with no more than 50 guests.
One con to this venue is that pricing may be high depending on the food and the number of plates you order. Be sure to consider cost when choosing a baby shower venue.
2. Art Museum
Art galleries are such underrated event spaces. There are some art museums where you could host events. This is a unique way to celebrate the bundle of joy’s future arrival. Most art galleries have a room where you could host programs or private events.
Guests could also enjoy the beautiful artwork during the baby shower. That would give guests something to do in between the food and games.
3. Private Residence
This is the most practical and budget-friendly baby shower venue. Pick a place that is large enough for the number of guests you want to entertain. This could be your own home, the mommy-to-be’s home, or a relative’s home.
When hosting at a private residence, make sure there is enough room for parking and have some indoor and outdoor decorations. This is perfect for a small baby shower guest list that has no more than 30 people.
4. Beach
This is definitely a more aesthetically pleasing baby shower venue idea. This is ideal for the Summer months and, be sure to have plenty of sunscreen and drinks available.
You could either set up tables and chairs or set up a beach picnic. Be prepared to have things secured due to the wind.
The best thing about hosting a baby shower at a beach is that you do not have to have formal permission. Be sure to check with your local public beach on their policies.
Some beaches may have some expenses if you want to use one of their beach houses or pier.
We recommend a medium to large guest list for this venue. There are a ton of activities you could have like volleyball, scavenger hunts, swimming, sunbathing and so much more.
5. Park
For a park, you will need a permit from your local parks and recreation office. It doesn’t matter if it is a cookout or a summer picnic. Hosting a baby shower at a park is fun for guests of all ages.
We highly recommend this venue for a kid-friendly event because of the playgrounds and other activities at the park.
6. Country Club
Now if you are part of a community center or exclusive country club then this will surely impress the guests.
This is a formal event that could have taken place in the late afternoon or evening. Celebrate the baby with an exquisite meal and surround yourself with good company.
The only downside to this venue is that you may have to be from that neighborhood or a country club member to host events there.
7. Rose Garden
A baby shower at a botanical garden is a wonderful way to celebrate the blooming mommy-to-be. Think about all the amazing photos you could get of the decorations and gift table. Roses, plants, and other greenery make an amazing baby shower backdrop.
8. Banquet Hall
A banquet hall is a classic baby shower venue idea. We love this venue because of the versatility of serving styles. For example, the food could be buffet style, family style, or a good station.
And because the baby shower food menu is a crucial piece in the event, this venue would be able to cater to any specific requests for dining.
You can decorate a banquet hall with balloons, and streamers, deck the tables out with fun Confetti, and so much more. The price point for a banquet hall is pretty reasonable depending on the type of hall and the size of the private party.
9. Art Studio
An art studio is a great idea for a baby shower if the parents are artists or interested in art. This is a two in one event. You can have the baby shower for one portion which is the parents opening gifts playing games etc. Then you can incorporate an art project of some sort, where an art. The instructor comes in and teaches a short painting class.
We recommend this venue for a small, intimate, baby shower experience.
10. Café
Did you know you can host a baby shower at your favorite coffee shop? Similar to a restaurant, your favorite café might have a room where you can host events. If not, you could reserve multiple tables for a group of people to sit.
this is definitely one of our casual bridal shower venue ideas. So it would be a chance for guests to come to have a cup of coffee or tea and give gifts to the parents-to-be.
11. Recreation Center
If you have a local recreation center that you are a member of they have rooms that you could use for a party. You would have to arrange it ahead of schedule, and you would have to accommodate the center’s hours.
We highly recommend this baby shower then you if there are kids or a lot of local people invited to the event.
12. Library or Bookstore
Check with your local library to see if you can use one of their program rooms to host an event. some libraries may be required to have your event open to the public but most will be happy to have you as long as you keep the noise down (lol).
The same goes for a bookstore. Bookstores are becoming more like community centers as well, and it wouldn’t hurt to call and ask if you could host a small event, and one of their rooms or in the back of their shop.
be sure to pick up a little something from the parenting section while you’re there!
13. Cooking Studio
Go to a cooking studio at your local culinary school or small restaurant and have them host a cooking class for guests. That way I guess will have something to do and a treat to eat at the end.
We love this idea because it is not a traditional baby shower venue but it does offer some festivities for the Bub in the oven.
14. Rooftop Terrace
if your fancy, I want to host a baby shower at a hotel, then pick a hotel with a cute rooftop terrace that you can decorate with balloons and signage and have people meet you there and have the parents-to-be feel like they’re on top of the world.
15. Yoga Studio
If she likes younger then have her baby shower at a yoga studio. I’m sure if she likes younger than have her baby shower, her yoga studio. I’m sure she would appreciate all the fun stretches and having a bit of peace and calmness before the busy life of being a mom.
16. Cabin
A little Glamping never hurt anybody. Get a cute little cabin and celebrate the new baby with the parents yes and mother nature. This is also a way to get a place to be calm and relaxed before they enter a new chapter.
17. Boat
Of course, if it’s summertime and you’re by some water having a baby shower on a boat or by a bow would be so cute. You can have a nautical theme and if you know the baby’s gender, you could plan accordingly.
We’re picturing blue and white sailor decorations for a cute baby boy, baby shower.
18. Resort
If you want to go all out and have a higher budget for this event, then why not have it at a resort as a mini vacation before parenthood? There will be plenty of excursions, pool, spas, and so many other things to do then on a specific date sometime during the vaca.
19. Poolside Venue
This new idea is easy to replicate especially if you have an apartment where you have a community pool. You can work with your property manager and schedule a date to reserve your clubhouse and host the baby shower there.
There might be a small fee to reserve the room, but then everyone can go out to the pool and enjoy it for a relatively low budget.
